Welcome to CVGlide. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, software, and career optimization tools. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

1. Nature of Service & No Guarantee Policy

Our platform provides automated tools to format, optimize, and evaluate resumes and cover letters based on established best practices in recruitment and hiring.

• No Guarantee of Employment: We provide software tools, not recruitment services. We do not guarantee job placement, interview requests, specific match scores, or any hiring outcomes.
• Third-Party Systems: Hiring decisions are made by human recruiters and proprietary Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that are entirely outside of our control. We are not liable for applications that are rejected or filtered by prospective employers.

2. Account Creation & Security

To access our premium features, you must register for an account.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. You agree not to share your account, active session, or subscription with other individuals. Account sharing is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension without a refund.

3. Payments, Credits, and Cancellations

All financial transactions are handled securely by our authorized Merchant of Record. We do not store your payment information on our servers.

• Credit System & Subscriptions: Our premium features operate on a credit-based system (e.g., monthly credits or lifetime credits). By upgrading, you authorize our Merchant of Record to charge your payment method on a recurring basis or via one-time top-ups.
• Cancellations: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your dashboard's Billing Portal. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your accumulated credits and premium features until the end of your current billing cycle.
• Refunds: Because our service incurs immediate, irreversible processing costs when you generate content, we do not offer refunds for billing periods that have already begun or for credits that have been consumed, except where strictly required by law.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use our platform strictly for its intended purpose: advancing your personal career. To protect platform integrity, we employ automated security and audit logging systems. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass our API limits, scoring algorithms, or security thresholds.
• Upload malicious code, spam, or irrelevant documents in an attempt to manipulate or exhaust our systems.
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with our endpoints.
• Violation of this policy - or triggering our automated abuse prevention systems - will result in an immediate account strike, termination, and a permanent ban from the platform without a refund.

5. Intellectual Property & User Content

• Your Content: You retain complete ownership of the original data you input - your work history, personal details, and original documents - as well as the final, optimized documents generated for you by the platform.
• Our Property: We retain all rights, title, and interest in the platform itself, including the source code, UI/UX design, scoring algorithms, and proprietary routing systems.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CVGlide and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation: loss of profits, loss of data, loss of employment opportunities, or reputational harm resulting from your use of the service.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you paid us over the past twelve (12) months.

7. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify active users of significant changes by updating the Effective Date on this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
